Well, within 100 miles of leaving the Dealership...the roads are so rough..that the Tom Tom falls 6 or 7 times off the dash... Not good..the iddy biddy deal inside the Tom Tom snapped off and is clanking inside the Tom Tom. We can use it until the juice runs out. It no longer can be charged because the iddy biddy deal inside isn't attached anymore.. The juice runs out within 2 hours.
We drive through Mass. to Conn. to PA & a sliver through New York. The scenery is beautiful. Great weather. Life is good! We stop to get gas at one of the gas stations along the way. We have to REALLY plan ahead. You can't maneuver the rigs very easy....you pray the car ahead of you isn't going to take the "gas pump" that's the easiest to DRIVE THROUGH...no backing up...ugh....
we had to apologise to one that we needed that pump..I got out and explained "this is our 2ND day" driving this...people from ALL 4 cars gassing up got out and tried to give us pointers...they were all so nice. One lady started telling me stories about a nephew who just graduated from the U of U in Theater/Art. Another guy asked if we bought this to drive and listen to sports shows or radio. I just laughed and said thats what my husband likes...sports..any kind! One guy got out and started talking to Mark about "his RV"...life is good! Great people everywhere. Gas is $1.59 a gallon.
We drive on to Pine Grove, PA to a KOA. It costs $35.00 with all hook ups and my KOA membership discount. The last 10 miles have snowed lightly...we sign up at the night registration. It is 10:00 p.m.
